The Old Paths Baptist Mission

Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.
But they said, We will not walk therein.

Prayer Letter
September-December 2007

Greetings in the matchless name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We hope that this new years has found you blessed in the Lord! I always enjoy the new year. It is a time to reflect on the past year, and look forward to the opportunities the Lord has coming our way. We are so thankful of what God has done this past year. Yes, there have been valleys and storms, but He has taken us through them all, with great grace, and mercy! We are also excited about what we believe God can and will do in 2008!

As I look back on last year I can see God has moved and led our family into a place of more useful service for His Glory. We are in the process of changing our lifestyle to prepare us for the road up ahead in full time evangelism. We are cutting back so we can be more financially prepared for the ups and downs of living on the road. This past year has also seen much fruit. I believe we have seen about 5 or 6 souls saved on the streets with the group of us that go out on Saturdays in down town Cincinnati. I have been able to share the gospel with many and led, I believe, 2 souls to Christ personally. We are blessed with folks praying for us to get the tent meetings off the ground, and we still are gathering things together for that. In all, last year was a blessed year for the Lawson family.

Next year we are looking for God to open doors for us to get into churches for meetings and revivals. I have one revival meeting at the end of April. Work has slowed and hopefully I will be able to keep being off on Saturdays so we can grow the street work. The more churches we go into the more people I find interested in street preaching and that's a blessing! This week we are heading down to Tennessee to pick up a van for the tent revivals. Starting up this Spring, things are looking good for meetings in and around the Cincinnati area. PRAISE THE LORD FOR THAT!!! We hope to be able to go down town every Saturday this coming year for the street work, having 4 to 6 tent revivals this spring, summer, and fall, and that I can schedule meetings this year to be a blessing to God's people. We are also getting involved with the city rescue mission down town Cincinnati every first Thursday of every month.

In closing, please pray that everything God has for us to do this year will be for His honor and Glory. And that it would bring forth eternal fruit of souls being set free by the grace of God. Also pray that we can raise support. I hope to be full time in evangelism some time this year or maybe early next year good Lord willing. May God bless and COME QUICKY is our prayer.
